Simon Littlewood has been Consultant Orthodontist at St Luke’s Hospital, Bradford, UK since 2001. He is also Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Leeds Dental Institute, University of Leeds and runs a small private practice. He is currently an elected Board Member Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England, Co-Course Director of Yorkshire Orthodontic Therapy Course 2007 and Chairman of Examiners, Royal Colleges, Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship (consultant) Exam. He has published several book chapters and many articles in peer-reviewed journals, and appeared in educational videos about interviewing, work-based assessments and retainers. He is recognised as a world expert in relapse and retention, and has been involved in a number of randomised controlled clinical trials. He is well-known as an excellent communicator who is able to translate high quality research into practical, orthodontic clinical practice. He is an entertaining and highly sought-after speaker, having been invited to speak in over 30 countries.
